Human Resource

An organization is a group of people establishes either formally or informally for the attainment of certain objectives. People are the foundation of any organization, so the organization needs people and people need organization.

People involved in an organization referred to Human Resource. Such people refer as a human resource when they involve an organization with physical strength, energy and competencies consist with knowledge, skills, attitudes, and potential for growth. The success of an organization heavily depends on the quality of human resources it has. Motivated and highly satisfied human resources build a dynamic organization and enable an organization to achieve its goals effectively.

Human Resource Management

Simply overall management of such personnel in an organization can call as Human Resource Management, but different scholars define it in a different way as follows.
Human Resource Management (HRM) are practices are the policies and practices involved in carrying out the human resource aspects of managing the position, including recruiting, screening, training, rewarding and appraising Dessler, (2005; p 4).
The shorter meaning of HRM is the act of managing the process of recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits as well as employee’s safety and health in an organization. Haslinda (2009, P. 1).
As described by Armstrong (2014), Human resource management (HRM) is a comprehensive and coherent approach to the employment and development of people as well as described that HRM can be regarded as a philosophy about how people should be managed, which is underpinned by a number of theories relating to the behavior of people and organizations.

In according to the different concepts and definitions defined by different scholars over the years the main idea of the human resource management deals with how to manage people in an organization. Humans have many individual differences, defining the character is very complex and it is the most sensitive and emotional resource use by the organizations to attain their objectives. Not only Human Resource Manager but also each and every type of managers involves different human resource functions in different ways. Therefore organization should very care full to deal with the human resource in an organization. In the modern world, organizations identified Human Resource Management as an important function of any organization. So that the people's perspective to human resource is changed as profit centre rather than it concern as a cost centre. As a result of this organizations try to development and implementation HR strategies that are integrate with Business Strategies.
